What is Projects & Goals?
The OHE PTA Projects and Goals committee is tasked with determining how to spend the PTA money.
Our goal is to ensure that the funds are properly spent on items that benefit our school. We will work with the Strategic Planning team, Campus Area Council (CAC), and various parent representatives to make sure that whatever we spend the PTA money on makes sense and benefits the majority of students at OHE. Requests for funds from the OHE PTA can be made by faculty, parents and community members. This committee will rank all requests and determine how to best spend our money. The principal and faculty members will work together to determine what items they feel the school needs and submit requests based on those decisions. Please note, it is not the function of this committee to do any research about the item being requested. All information will need to be provided before a request will be considered.

To request funds from the OHE PTA (Projects & Goals Budget), please click here. Please note that only completed applications will be considered. The P&G committee will meet monthly during the school year and will review requests at an upcoming meeting.
P&G Committee:
The P&G committee consists of the following nine members:
- P&G chairperson
- PTA president
- PTA treasurer
- Strategic Planning Committee Representative - determined by the Strategic Planning Committee
- CAC representative - determined by the CAC
- Parent representative from Kinder/1st grade - selected by lottery - OPEN
- Parent representative from 2nd/3rd - selected by lottery - OPEN
- Parent representative from 4th/5th - selected by lottery - OPEN
- Principal's appointed person - designated by the principal to help promote the ideals of the CIP (campus improvement plan) and/or prinicipal's ideas for where the school is headed
The requirements for being a committee member for P&G are as follows:
- must be a PTA member (paid your annual membership)
- must be present at a minimum of 5 of the 7 scheduled meetings
- must have a child currently enrolled in OHE K-5th grade
- must be able to represent the entire school population and not just your child
The P&G dates for the 2010-2011 school year are:
