Oak Hill Elementary PTA Strategic Plan Priorities for 2011-12

1.   Support effective academic programs with an emphasis on reading and math

Examples: PTA reading programs, assistance with reading specialist salary

2.   Support the OHE faculty and work collaboratively with teachers to determine the most needed areas of PTA support

Examples: teacher survey, teacher training, providing substitutes during benchmark testing

3.   Enhance educational enrichment

Examples: Potential for Enrichment Fridays, challenging learning environment for all students, UIL academic contests, Odyssey of the Mind

4.   Support campus needs and facilities

Examples: campus beautification, technology, cosmetic building improvements

5.   Support and engage the school community

Examples: cultural awareness and cultural pilot project, stakeholder meeting for entire Oak Hill area (not just parents), community calendar
