Workshops on Wednesdays!

Workshop is a dedicated time every week that volunteers gather in the workroom in the Main building to help out with whatever needs to be done. Parents assist teachers with jobs such as copying, laminating, die cutting, etc. This gives the teachers more time to spend on teaching and planning.

Workshops are on Wednesdays starting at 9:00 A.M. in the workroom of the Main building. Any help that we can get would be appreciated. Come when you can!

Seeking Volunteers for the OHE PTA Publicity Committee

Are you a closet journalist? Like to write? Would you like to get to know our school better? Volunteer for the Publicity committee and help write short news articles about various events throughout the year! You can cover one event or many. This is not a huge time commitment and are events that you may be attending anyway. Depending on the content and timing, articles may be published in this newsletter, on our website, or in various community publications.

For more information or to volunteer, send email to publicity@ohepta.org.

Want to help out around our school?

Projects and Goals
Projects and Goals is a committee that consists of the Projects and Goals Chairperson, the President of the PTA, the Treasurer of the PTA, the Principal, various teacher representatives (usually grade-level team leaders), and other parents volunteers. Our task is to determine where and how to spend the money that is raised by the Oak Hill PTA. Our goal is to look at the long-term and short-term needs for the school and to also determine what will benefit the majority of students at Oak Hill. This year's budget for Projects and Goals is $23,875. If you have a desire to be a part of this process, please contact rlevatino@austin.rr.com for more information.

Calling all Shutterbugs!
The Yearbook Committee and the School Historian need candid photos for the collage pages. Please remember to take your camera to the classroom, parties, field trips, carnival, and other school events. Photos must be submitted in digital form. They can be emailed or submitted via CD. Place CDs in an envelope labeled with your name, the teacher's name, and YEARBOOK. Send the envelope to your child's teacher or place in the Yearbook mailbox in the teacher's break room. Start sending them now!

Email your photos to the yearbook committee and the school Historian.

Video Helper Needed
If you are able to assist the Historian with video taping school programs (AM or PM), please contact Jill Ivie at jill.ivie@gmail.com. The Oak Hill students would benefit from recording their moment in the spotlight! We can also share with next year's students examples of previous programs.
