Committee Name: Financial Review Committee (FRC)

Description: To review the PTA's financial books, as well as meeting reports. After the close of the fiscal year (June 30th), the FRC must get a hold of the treasurer's financial items and review for proper record-keeping. What time of the school year does the majority of work happen? Summer

Role of chairperson? The chairperson obtains all the records from the treasurer, as well as the meeting notes from the secretary. The chairperson then sets up which checks will be reviewed and gets familiar with exactly what needs to be audited so she can guide the other committee members.

Job description for committee members: Help the chairperson complete the FRC with assigned tasks (e.g., review back-up for a listing of checks, review all deposits to make sure everything is documented correctly, review meeting notes to make sure that all meetings established a quorum, etc.)

Time commitment for committee members: 5 hours for each member
